Where you are today

Insurers set your rates. New doctors don't know your name.

You told us the insurance companies state the rate and you take it, and your billing service keeps 4%. The hospital systems keep their referrals in house, and the doctors who could send patients your way keep changing. Meanwhile people are calling you for AAC devices, and there aren't enough speech pathologists to go around.

Engine one · Private pay

Two paths to your bank.

Private pay doesn't replace insurance. It runs beside it, for the families who want to book directly.

Stripe's standard US settlement is two business days; your first payout takes 7 to 14 days while the account is reviewed. Card fees still apply, about 2.9% + 30¢ per payment at Stripe's standard rate, and there's no claim to file or chase.

What families would see

Book and pay in under a minute.

A private-pay page on your site with a booking calendar that shows your real openings and a Stripe checkout. Confirmation and reminder emails go out on their own. You see the booking on your calendar and the payment in your bank.

Engine two · Referral partners

Keep your name in front of every new doctor.

You put it best: "It's like selling Coke. You got to keep putting the ads up." Private pay brings families in directly. Referral outreach brings them in through the doctors who see them first, and it runs without you writing a word.

What onboarding looks like

Six steps to two new doors.

1

Shape the offer together

We decide who it's for, what each package includes and how it's priced. AAC devices are a natural place to start, since families are already calling.

Days 1 to 10
2

Give it a home

A private-pay page on your current site, kept separate from your insurance billing. Your simple site stays simple.

Days 11 to 35
3

Connect Stripe and the calendar

Your own Stripe account pays out to your bank. The booking calendar shows your real openings and your therapist's, sends reminders and adds Video Meet links for virtual sessions.

Days 11 to 35
4

Build your referral partner list

New and current doctors along I-35, sorted by who sends AAC, aphasia, swallowing and articulation patients. Your welcome email and referral kit, written with you.

Days 11 to 35
5

Launch both doors

Private pay goes first to device inquiries and families insurance doesn't fit. The first doctor introductions go out the same week.

Days 36 to 45
6

Watch it grow

A monthly Scoreboard shows private-pay bookings, new referrals and which doctor or search each one came from, so you grow on purpose.

Days 46 to 90
One thing we settle first. Private pay is for families without coverage, services insurance won't pay for, and clients who choose it. Medicare and Medical Assistance have their own rules about billing enrolled clients directly, so your billing service confirms who's eligible before we launch.
Investment · Dekodi Stacks 2027

Booking and payments start at the second layer.

Every plan comes with web. Private pay needs a site built to book, so our pick is the Credibility Stack plus the Booking add-on. Automated doctor outreach runs on the Growth Stack's referral flows and newsletter. The numbers below update with your calculator.

One 12-month agreement. The $750 Booking add-on is billed when the booking build starts, not before. Start with Credibility + Booking and step up to Growth when private-pay inquiries pass 10 a month, or start on Growth if doctor referrals come first. Half your setup carries over if you step up in the first 6 months.

Your three futures

This is math on your numbers, not a promised return. Package prices are examples to set together. "A year of private-pay packages" counts each package at full price, sold every month for 12 months. Card fees use Stripe's standard US rate of 2.9% + 30¢ per payment; your rate may differ. Payout timing per Stripe's documentation for US accounts (standard two-business-day settlement; first payout 7 to 14 days). Session load assumes one session a week per active client. Year one: Authority $500 setup + $500 Starter Site + $297/mo; Credibility + Private-Pay Booking $1,500 Kickoff + $750 Booking add-on + $497/mo; Growth $3,000 setup + $797/mo. Referral figures assume the number of referring doctors and referrals each that you set, at the average client value entered, billed through insurance at your usual rates; referred clients are counted at about 12 weeks of care for session load. Final scope and pricing are set in your Playbook.
